CKWZ outdoor vacuum breaker can open and close load/overload/short-circuit current of power system, which can protect the outside feeder.

---- Manual Operating Mechanism

*Closing Operation

Pulling the stored-energy handle to move the gear sleeve, then gear shaft rotates and drive the master gear to rotate. The stored-energy spring is elongated gradually and drives the mechanism to store energy. Once the stored-energy spring crosses the center line, it will be hold by closing latch. The mechanism is ready for closing.

When operate for closing, it needs to pull the closing handle, then the tripping plate is driven and make the closing tripping half-shaft rotate anticlockwise to release the holding of stored-energy. The stored-energy spring will release the power and make the cam rotate and drive the action of the output crank arm. After closing, opening latch will fasten the half-shaft and make the circuit breaker in closing status.

When the mechanism in status of closing, it needs to operate the stored-energy system again and the stored-energy spring is elongated again. Once the spring crosses the center line, it will hold by closing latch, meanwhile, the interlocking between the output crank arm and closing half-shaft will fasten the closing latch and make the spring not to release energy. It can prevent the no-load closing for mechanism.

When the mechanism in opening status, it can’t be closing until the input crack arm and closing half-shaft release the interlocking.

 

*Opening & Overcurrent Tripping Operation

Pulling the closing handle to move the trip lever, then the half-shaft rotates anticlockwise and make the opening latch release, finally the circuit breaker is opening. Similarly, if the current exceeds the setting value when it goes through the overcurrent tripping device, then the half-shaft will release from the opening latch by the action of overcurrent coil, finally the circuit breaker is opening.

 

---- Motor operating mechanism

* Stored energy

Pulling the stored-energy handle or providing power to make the electromotor rotate the gear sleeve, both of these ways can make the gear shaft rotates and drive the master gear to rotate. Then the stored-energy spring is elongated gradually and drives the mechanism to store energy. Once the stored-energy spring crosses the center line, it will be hold by closing latch. The mechanism is ready for closing.

 

* Closing

When operate for closing, it can pull the closing handle or apply voltage to the closing release, then the tripping plate is driven and make the closing tripping half-shaft rotate anticlockwise to release the holding of stored-energy. The stored-energy spring will release the power and make the cam rotate and drive the action of the output crank arm. After closing, opening latch will fasten the half-shaft and make the circuit breaker in closing status.

 

* Reclosing

When mechanism in the status of closing, it needs to operate the stored-energy system again and the stored-energy spring is elongated again. Once the spring crosses the center line, it will hold by closing latch, meanwhile, the interlocking between the output crank arm and closing half-shaft will fasten the closing latch and make the spring not to release energy. It can prevent the no-load closing for mechanism.

When mechanism in the status of opening, it can’t be closing until the input crack arm and closing half-shaft release the interlocking.

When the mechanism can store energy again after closing, then it can ready for single shot reclosing by procedure of opening-0.3s-closing & opening.

 

* Opening Operation & Overcurrent Trip

After the mechanism connects with circuit breaker tank and finish closing, then pulling the opening handle to move the trip lever of the mechanism opening half-shaft, and then the opening half-shaft rotates anticlockwise. Or applying voltage to the opening coil and make it move the trip lever of the opening half-shaft, and then the opening half-shaft rotates anticlockwise. Both of these ways can make the opening latch release, and then the circuit breaker is opening.

When the current exceeds the setting value when it goes through the overcurrent coil, the opening latch will release by the action of the overcurrent tripping device, then the circuit breaker is opening.
